BrainChild Electronic Co., Ltd. was established in 1977. Presently we are the largest temperature controller maker in Taiwan, and the only maker of paperless recorder in Taiwan.

The factory has a full automatic SMT production line. TÜV Rheinland certifies our ISO9001 once a year. In addition we have a well equipped and CSA certified laboratory to do CSA, UL and CE tests. A strong and experienced R&D team allows us to offer customers innovative and state-of-art industrial instruments for various FA solutions. We have won good reputation by supplying quality instruments with better features at competitive prices. It is our philosophy in pursuit of perfection through continuous improvement.

In order to support our customers with more industrial instruments and become an important vendor in FA solutions, we have continued investing on new products. Now we have five product lines including Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Recorders, Temperature Controllers, Data Acquisition Modules / Distributed IO Modules, IP Camera, and Networking products. The sales network of both distributors and private labeled customers covers over 80 countries.

1977BrainChild was founded. Released light booster and obtained patent.
1978 Obtained BC, BRAINCHILD trademark registration and copyrights in Taiwan.
1981 Developed first PID analog temperature controller in Taiwan.
1987 Introduced SMT automatic production, equipments including SMT pck & placer x 3, screen printer, hot air reflow, wave soldering machine, and batch water cleaning machine.
1988 Developed first microcomputer temperature controller in Taiwan.
1991 Moved to the current place in Nangang Dist., Taipei City. Set up SMT automatic production Line. 
1992 Acquired UL and CSA certificate for temperature controller full series.
1993 Acquired award of good design from MOEA for microcomputer temperature controller.
1994 Released the world’s first 48x24mm (1/32DIN) fuzzy logic temperature controller.
1995 Displayed the world’s first 1/32DIN fuzzy logic temperature controller w/ digital communication in Intercama exhibition.
1996 Acquired CE certificate for temperature controller full series. Acquired TÜV certificate for process control.
1997 Set up laboratory for Safety testing.
1998 Set up laboratory for EMC testing.
1999 Acquired ISO 9001 quality system certificate.
2000 Attended ISA (USA) and CeBIT (Germany) exhibitions.

2014 Attended SPS/IPC/DRIVE (Germany) and Measurement & Control (Japan) exhibitions. Released PR series, paperless recorder.

As a global citizen, BrainChild has always sought to fulfill its corporate social and environmental responsibilities. We have set our CSR policy based on a number of international standards and major principles to provide the benefits to our clients and stakeholders.

Policy Statement on Conflict Minerals
   
Brainchild is taking due diligence within our supply chain to assure “DRC Conflict-Free” for the Minerals of gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W) and tin (Sn) are not derived from or sourced from mines in conflict areas of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), or illegally taxed on trade routes, either of which are controlled by non-governmental military groups, or unlawful military factions. Trade routes not confirmed to be “Conflict Free” include direct exports from the DRC, as well as exports through Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania and Kenya (countries of whom the U.N. Security Council note are global export routes for DRC-mined minerals).

Brainchild requires its suppliers to:
  1. To duly perform our environmental protection and social responsibility.
  2. To remove conflict materials from our supply chains.
  3. To trace all products containing gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tungsten (W) and tin (Sn) sources, to ensure that these metals from sources other than the “conflict minerals”.
  4. To have such policy fully delivered to all upstream suppliers.

Environmental Compliance
   
For the sustainable development, BrainChild aims to work on mitigating impacts on the environment and develop more eco-friendly products. Our products meet some of the strictest environmental standards in the industry that can help minimize the impact of our products on the environment.

WEEE: The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment directive stipulates that a company is responsible for the ecological disposal or recycling of its electrical and electronic products.
RoHS: The Restriction on Hazardous Substances directive prohibits the use of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.
REACH: REACH is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals.
